The Marshall County Convention & Visitors Bureau is thinking big in terms of
advertising these days—as in the "Center of the Universe" big, the number one
most visited place globally, known as Times Square, aka "The Big Apple" big.
With an average of 360,000 visitors a day in Times Square, the CVB is excited to advertise
beautiful Lake Guntersville and all of Marshall County's unique attractions in
one of the most popular cities in America.
The CVB's 5-second digital ad will be featured on the billboard outside ABC's Good Morning America studios in Times
Square December 1-7, as well as on digital boards in Dundas Square, Toronto,
In addition to the digital ad, Marshall County will be featured in the January edition of Horizon Magazine's "Discover America"
edition. This magazine has a distribution in Canada of 100,000.
Canada is Alabama's number one customer, with more than $6.3 billion in trade annually. In 2012, 108,000 Canadians visited Alabama and spent
$22 million in tourism dollars.
"This opportunity will allow us to receive international exposure for our lake and our county," said Katy Norton, President, Marshall
County CVB. "We hope the natural beauty displayed through this ad campaign will
draw visitors to our area."
