Main Channel Brewing Company
Marshall County's first brewery Posted on Thursday, 22 March 2018.
In 2015, the landscape of brewed beer completely changed when Brett, Clay and Sarah Smith, owners of Main Channel Brewing Company, opened the doors of Main Channel Brewing Company.
Located in Guntersville Alabama, the Main Channel taproom is in the original Jitney Jr. store location on Hwy. 431. Affectionately known locally as “The Jit,” what was once a sleepy little convenience store is now home to Marshall County’s first brewery. Main Channel is known for five beers that all have something different to offer. The 358 Imperial IPA, according to Haley Lawrence with AL.com, is like the Mick Jagger of beers. The other fan favorites are the regular IPA, the Amber Ale, the Choppy Water Wheat, and the newest release, the Blonde Ale. Each beer has its own history and with that comes a unique taste as well.
As part of the North Alabama Brew Trail, Main Channel Brewing Company has certainly earned its respect amongst its peers and is considered one of the best breweries in all of Alabama.
